DESCRIPTION:IRB 101 is designed for researchers new to human subjects research or for seasoned researchers new to NU. The presentation will include: \n\nAn introduction to our office and its functions\nA brief history of human subjects research violations and the development of IRBs\nWhen IRB review is and is not required\nThe fundamentals of IRB review\, including the ethical and regulatory frameworks we use\nOur submission\, review\, and approval processes\n\nThe presentation will take roughly 30-40 minutes with plenty of time for audience questions. Participants are eligible to earn 1 hour of RCR credit to satisfy NU-RES requirements.
