IRB Topics: Recruiting for Research: Building IRB-Friendly Recruitment Plans

The presentation will include:

• An overview of the regulatory and ethical considerations the IRB uses to evaluate recruitment
• An overview of common strategies used for recruitment
• A discussion of how much information needs to be documented and how flexibility can be built into recruitment plans

Goals for the Session:

Participants will learn how to design inclusive, respectful, and approvable recruitment approaches, avoid common pitfalls, and align their methods with IRB expectations.

The presentation will take roughly 30-40 minutes with plenty of time for audience questions. Participants are eligible to earn 1 hour of RCR credit to satisfy NU-RES requirements.
