Research Mentor Training (RMT) is a day-long, in-person interactive workshop that helps new and experienced mentors build their skills. Effective mentoring of research trainees is a skill that can be learned and honed. Faculty, postdocs, and graduate students in all fields who actively mentor and work with researchers are invited to attend this workshop. Workshop participants will learn evidence-based practices that foster the cultivation and maintenance of effective research mentoring relationships.
Whether you are a faculty member in CSSH advising a graduate student, or the PI for a lab, this training can help provide you with the tools to be a stronger mentor.
Facilitators:
Penny Beuning, Professor and Chair of Chemistry and Chemical Biology
Carla Mattos, Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology and Associate Dean for Graduate Affairs
